Wool, virgin wool, or lamb's wool - what's the difference?

Wool is a natural and renewable raw material. This blanket is made of 100% lamb's wool. Lamb's wool refers to the wool from the first shearing of a sheep or lamb, within the first 6 months of life. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. Like virgin wool, it is obtained from live sheep, usually in the spring, and as much as possible in one piece. After shearing, the wool is combed and loosened before being dyed a wonderful orange and spun into yarn. The Klippan Knut blankets are then woven from this wool. Lamb's wool is said to be barely itchy, breathable, and to have excellent insulating properties. It warms in winter and cools in summer. Klippan does everything to ensure the blanket feels soft, and the lamb's wool is specially pre-combed for this purpose; nevertheless, this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be, and the blanket will shed a little, especially at the beginning.

The orange Knut throw can be wonderfully washed at 30 degrees, so you can easily wash your cozy blanket yourself whenever needed.
