Let's discover the Manincor winery together
With around 50 hectares of vineyards, the Manincor winery is one of the larger wineries in South Tyrol. The Manincor estate is located in Kaltern, in the district of St. Josef not far from Lake Kaltern, where Count Michael Goëss-Enzenberg has lived since 1991 together with his wife, Countess Sophie, and their three daughters.
While the winery's historic buildings may date back in part to 1608, the cellar vault from 2004 is modern. The almost invisible cellar beneath the vineyard, which sets architectural standards, offers plenty of space for winemaking across 3,000 sqm. The design of the cellar provides ideal conditions for processing grapes, which travel downwards through three floors as grapes, mash, must, or wine solely by gravity. The newly built vinotheque also offers a fabulous view of the vineyards and the picturesque landscape of South Tyrol.
Manincor Winery South Tyrol: Biodynamics and Respect
The Manincor winery combines traditional winemaking with biodynamic cultivation. This philosophy reflects a passion for quality and respect for nature. Strengthening healthy soils through natural methods promotes the resilience of the vines, which are tended with careful manual labor. In addition to Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Goldmuskateller, and Viognier, Lagrein, Vernatsch, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petit Verdot are grown here, as well as a few rows of PIWI varieties. Cellar master Helmuth Zozin works hand-in-hand in the vineyards and the cellar with Count Michael Goëss-Enzenberg, who is a qualified oenologist himself, to create wines of exceptional quality and character. Discover these wines, such as the Sophie white wine cuvée, the Lieben Aich and Tannenberg Sauvignon Blanc vineyard selections, the Cassiano red wine, the top cuvée Mason di Mason, or the La Rosé de Manincor.
