Eco-wool – naturally!

Eco-wool is a natural and renewable raw material. The lambswool comes from lambs no older than six months. It is particularly soft because the fibers are still very fine. After shearing, the eco-wool is combed and loosened before being beautifully dyed grey, spun into yarn, and then woven into this dreamlike blanket. It is barely scratchy, breathable, and possesses excellent insulating properties. It provides warmth in winter and keeps you cool in summer. Klippan does everything possible to ensure the blanket feels soft; to achieve this, the Oeko-Tex certified lambswool is extra pre-combed, although this quality is naturally scratchier than a cotton blanket would be and the blanket may shed a little at first.

The grey Chevron throw blanket can be washed at 30 degrees, either by hand in the bathtub or on the wool cycle of your washing machine. Set the spin speed as low as possible to prevent the blanket from felting. To ensure you enjoy your wool blanket for a long time, it is best to use a mild wool detergent and avoid fabric softener. Keep in mind that natural lanolin has a self-cleaning effect, which you wash away bit by bit with every wash. After the winter, hang the grey Chevron blanket outside on the line for a few hours, and it will smell like nothing at all. Airing it out is also the best way to get rid of any potential sheep smell that might be present at the beginning.
