The history of the company Le Jacquard Francais dates back to 1861, when Benjamin Baer opened a fabric shop in Gérardmer in the French Vosges mountains. In 1928, his successors, the Nathan Lévy weaving mill, expanded the business to include a bleachery, as white linens were in extremely high demand at the time. In 1968, the company was acquired by the ELIS Group, which purchased more than 50 looms for weaving Jacquard fabrics and launched the Le Jacquard Francais brand. As the quintessence of creative and technical know-how, the tea towels are woven with the greatest care in the textile factory in the Vosges and subsequently sewn there.
