Weaving art à la française – Tradition since 1861

The history of the company Le Jacquard Français dates back to 1861, when Benjamin Baer opened a fabric shop in Gérardmer in the French Vosges. In 1928, his successors, the Nathan Lévy weaving mill, expanded the business to include a bleachery, as white linens were in great demand at the time. In 1968, the company was acquired by the ELIS Group, which purchased more than 50 looms for weaving Jacquard fabrics and created the Le Jacquard Français brand. As the quintessence of creative and technical know-how, the tea towels are woven with the greatest care in the textile factory in the Vosges and subsequently sewn there.
