The Aecht Kimmel non-alcoholic is a dry bitter from the Manufaktur Jörg Geiger with zero alcohol. Wonderfully sparkling and incredibly aromatic, it is a refreshing drink when served chilled that contains no alcohol at all. Now available in a new, small 375ml bottle.

Hand-picked apples and perry pears from old meadow orchard varieties are gently pressed for this lightly sparkling Aecht Kimmel and blended with cucumber juice and gooseberry juice. Caraway hydrosol is also added, as alcohol can be distilled just like water-based hydrosols. Various botanicals are used to flavor the Aecht Kimmel. Jörg Geiger has chosen dill, rose, lavender, as well as various herbs and spices.

The botanicals are steeped in water, and their fragrance and flavor are carefully captured in the water-based hydrosol in the craft distillery. This allows Aecht Kimmel to be made without preservatives, combining caraway with bitter herbs from the region.

This handcrafted Aecht Kimmel has an intense aroma of Swabian Alb caraway, which develops its special flavor in the barren soils and harsh climate of the region. Caraway is part of the diverse wildflower meadow of the meadow orchard (WiesenObst) and is now being grown again on the Swabian Alb after years of absence by Wilfried Holder. People have long known of the potential of caraway, collecting and using it as a spice in the kitchen and in home remedies. It is rich in essential oils and rounds off the Aecht Kimmel with its intense yet mild taste. Alongside caraway, cucumber and dill are the lead notes in the aroma and flavor of the Aecht Kimmel. On the palate, the virgin long drink Aecht Kimmel is dry and bitter with a powerful finish.
