Brut Rosé Reserve by Fred Loimer, a Rosé Sekt from the Kamptal
The Brut Rosé Reserve by Fred Loimer is an organic rosé sparkling wine from the Kamptal, made from Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, and St. Laurent. Fine mousse, subtle fruit, pleasant mouthfeel – a rosé experience with a fine, creamy perlage.
Brut Rosé Reserve is the award-winning organic rosé sparkling wine from the Fred Loimer winery in Langenlois, produced using traditional bottle fermentation and hand-riddled. Aged for over 30 months on the lees – Austria's best rosé sparkling wine of 2023, fine, dry, and elegant.
Damson plum, white nougat, hazelnut cake
In the glass, a subtle, long-lasting mousse. On the nose, yeasty notes, damson plum tart and cherry-filled danish pastry, along with white nougat and hazelnut cake.
On the palate, it plays to its strengths: subtle fruit, fine mousse, a pleasant mouthfeel with beautifully integrated acidity. With air, it develops splendidly and gains depth.
The rosé sparkling wine for festive moments
Its fine mousse and subtle fruit make the Brut Rosé Reserve an elegant aperitif and companion.
Wonderful as a festive aperitif, as well as with appetizers, light meats, salmon, or a cheese platter. Serve well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, in a white wine glass rather than a narrow flute. An elegant highlight among our sparkling wines.
30 months on the lees, hand-riddled
Sparkling wine was once made at the Loimer winery before, then traditional bottle fermentation paused for seventeen years. Today, Fred Loimer once again produces sparkling wine according to the méthode traditionnelle, together with Master of Wine Andreas Wickhoff.
For the rosé, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, and St. Laurent make it into the glass. After spontaneous primary fermentation in steel tanks and wooden barrels and malolactic fermentation, the base wine aged for eight months on the lees. After the secondary fermentation, the sparkling wine spent 30 months on the lees and was hand-riddled before being disgorged in November 2025.
At the 2023 Gourmetwelten Rosé Cup, it was named Austria's best rosé sparkling wine with 92.5 points, along with 17.5 points from Gault&Millau and three stars from Vinaria. Highly impressive. You can find more from the producer among other wines from the Fred Loimer winery, such as the Extra Brut Reserve.
Dry, yet carried by fine fruit
Served well chilled at 8 to 10 degrees, this rosé sparkling wine is at its best in a white wine glass rather than a narrow flute. With a dosage of 4 grams, it is dry yet carried by fine fruit. A sparkling wine for a festive moment – and for all who love rosé. Cheers.
