Branches and leaves are drawn with fine lines and extend across the entire length of the runner.

The illustration looks like a page from a botanical notebook, in which someone has captured branch after branch with a fine-tipped pen. The leaves are loosely scattered across the light background, sometimes individually, sometimes in small clusters, leaving plenty of calm space in between. Because the pattern stays within muted shades of green, it never looks loud, even on a long dining table. The flax grows in European fields

Behind the light-colored base material is flax, a blue-flowering plant that thrives on rain in European fields and requires few pesticides. The EUROPEAN FLAX seal certifies that the fibers come from Western European cultivation and that the journey from stalk to runner is fully documented. Linseed oil is pressed from the seeds of the same plant, and after the woody stems are retted, they are turned into yarn. Weaving, printing, and sewing then take place in Lithuania, where Linen Tales maintains its own studio.

A table runner that doesn't block an entire machine load

A tablecloth for twelve people fills the drum entirely, whereas a narrow strip of linen can easily be washed alongside towels. This significantly lowers the barrier to use, because what is easy to wash will end up on the table even for an ordinary lunch. Furthermore, the smooth fiber does not lint, so no fluff remains on the light-colored design after drying. Red wine and candle wax are part of the risks of a long evening, for which a washable fabric is the best answer.

Wash at 40 degrees, iron from the reverse side

Place the linen table runner in the washing machine on a delicate cycle at no more than 40 degrees and choose a mild detergent without bleach so that the design retains its clarity. Keep the spin speed below 600 RPM and hang the runner up to dry afterwards. Draped over two lines, its weight is distributed evenly. If you want to iron it, place the fabric slightly damp on the reverse side; this will keep the print intact.
