Questions about Linen Tea Towel – Ashes of Roses?

We are happy to help you with Linen Tales.

Linen Tea Towel Ashes of Roses by Linen Tales

The Linen Tea Towel Ashes of Roses by Linen Tales is an old-rose kitchen towel made from European linen, woven in Lithuania and stone-washed for softness. Its pink is broken by grey, keeping it sophisticated rather than sweet.

The Linen Tea Towel Ashes of Roses is a kitchen towel from Linen Tales in Vilnius that dries dishes and covers bowls while baking. Measuring 45 by 65 centimeters, its surface is sufficient for a full sink, and the corner loop allows it to be hung on a hook afterward.

An old rose broken with grey

Ashes of Roses carries the hue of faded roses, dusty and with a touch of grey that removes any sweetness. Beside antique silver and white porcelain, this towel adds a warm accent without making the kitchen look like a dollhouse. In a room with cool grey tones, it is the splash of color that makes it feel lived-in, and it pairs particularly well with brass.

Dyed and tested according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100

A dyed cloth that touches wet dishes and sometimes fruit daily should be tested for its dyes. The fabric from Linen Tales therefore carries the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX label, for which every yarn is tested for harmful residues. The flax itself is proven to be from Western European cultivation and bears the EUROPEAN FLAX seal, which documents its origin right down to the field.

Stone-washed before the scissors are applied

Before a length is cut, Linen Tales washes it with stones. The fiber breaks down, the fabric loses its papery stiffness and falls softly over the hand. This treatment also anticipates most of the shrinking, so a pre-washed towel hardly shrinks further in the machine and retains its dimensions for years.

The tone that also works on the set table

Because this old rose is muted enough for table linen, it doesn't have to stay in the kitchen: placed over the bread basket or used as a base for a cheese platter, it makes the rounds from the workspace to the dining table. Those who wish to continue the tone will find it in the same series as a napkin. This creates a set table that feels cohesive without appearing uniform.

Ashes of Roses is also one of the three tones that Linen Tales compiles into the Watercolor tea towel set, along with Cafe Creme and Green Milieu. Those who want to try out the color first can get it there in combination with two related nuances. As a single towel, it is the more affordable way to bring the tone into the kitchen.

In the machine at 40 degrees and without bleach

Wash the linen tea towel at a maximum of 40 degrees on a delicate cycle and use a mild detergent without bleach so that the old rose retains its depth. Do not spin at over 600 revolutions and allow the towel to air dry afterward. You can iron it while slightly damp if you prefer a smooth drape over the creases.
