Moss green, warm-toned, and free of coldness

Moss Green has the muted coloration of moss growing between old cobblestones, with enough yellow in it to prevent any sense of coolness. On a dark ash platter and next to heavy stoneware, the shade feels almost like landscape; in a bright dining room, it brings the outdoors to the table. With beeswax candles and brushed brass, it creates an image that follows the season. Under a bowl of walnuts, the same shade looks like forest floor. On the table, green is the most patient of colors.

The raclette evening where everything happens at once

At the raclette table, little pans, pickles, potatoes, and wine are all crowded together, and everyone is constantly reaching for something. The melted cheese creates strings, the pan is hot, and that is exactly what a 40-centimeter square of linen is for. It holds the hot handle, catches dripping fat, and absorbs moisture from the fingers without falling apart. A dark green carries the traces of such an evening until the end without putting them on display at the table.

Folding that works without practice

Linen holds the crease you give it, which is why simply folding it into two lengths already looks good. Anyone who folds the fabric into a rectangle and pulls it loosely through a wooden or brass ring will have a place setting in five seconds. This fabric doesn't need artistic figures from restaurant service; its own weight is completely sufficient. After the meal, the napkin simply lies back on the place setting, and the drape remains neat nonetheless.

A linen napkin goes through the machine several hundred times before it has truly served its purpose. In the same time, countless packs of paper pass over the table and into the trash without ever being noticed in the cupboard. As the strongest of natural fibers, linen withstands this number of washes and becomes more supple rather than thinner in the process. In the end, the fiber decomposes without residue because there is nothing in the yarn from Linen Tales that doesn't belong there.

Wash at 40 degrees, without fabric softener

Wash the linen napkins on a delicate cycle at 40 degrees and spin at a maximum of 600 revolutions so that the fiber does not distort. You can skip fabric softener, as it leaves a film on the fiber and deprives it of the absorbency this fabric was made for. The dryer can run on low if you remove the linen while slightly damp and smooth it out. Cheese grease dissolves in a normal wash cycle if the napkin is not left crumpled up for days.
