Tea Towel with Cat Motif in Grey
The Cat tea towel in grey by 17;30 is a kitchen towel made of pure cotton with a charming cat motif, designed in Hamburg and hand-printed. A quiet companion for every kitchen.
Tea towel with a motif means quiet tones at 17;30, too. Sitting on a light background is a cat in calm grey, drawn with fine lines and a wink. 50 x 70 cm of pure cotton that dries reliably and brings a bit of purring into the kitchen.
A grey cat with charm
The cat sits calm and elegant in grey on a light background, as relaxed as a cat just is. It suits everyone who likes things simple.
The motif is screen-printed by hand in a grey that fits into any kitchen. Quiet, understated and friendly, that's how the Hamburg team likes it, even away from loud colors. Because every towel goes through the printing process individually, no two are exactly alike; little quirks are part of it and make your piece uniquely yours.
For cat lovers, the towel is a small love letter; for everyone else, it is a discreet motif that never feels intrusive.
Drying with velvet paws
The cotton towel absorbs water from glasses, plates and hands without leaving lint behind. A reliable kitchen towel for every day.
It can be machine washed at up to 60 degrees, it lies smooth over the rail when ironed, and the grey remains clear. Pure cotton is the classic among tea towels; it absorbs a lot of water and becomes softer rather than worn with the years. The kitchen looks calm and tidy among muted tones, and the grey cat blends in silently.
Thrown over the shoulder or on the hook next to the stove, it is quickly at hand. You can find more tea towels in our kitchen corner.
Draped over the back of a chair, over the bread basket or simply hung on the rail, the grey cat fits in everywhere. It remains pleasantly restrained and goes well with dishes, curtains and tiles in almost any color.
A Hamburg idea from 2010
Behind 17;30 is a team from Hamburg, which Anna Upleger founded on the Elbe in 2010 and which Quinn Upleger leads today.
The brand name refers to the time when the workday ends on the Elbe: 5:30 (halb sechs). From the first maritime lanyards, cards, paper bags and tea towels with character followed from 2016 onwards. A tea towel is not just a tea towel, as Quinn Upleger likes to emphasize. 100 percent cotton, woven in India, screen-printed in Hamburg.
The wine was delicious, the mood was magnificent, and at exactly 5:30, the decision was made to make beautiful things – that’s the story of how it was founded on the Elbe. This lightness is still in every print today, from the cheeky message to the quiet grey cat.
