Knipser Clarette – a great rosé wine from the Palatinate
Clarette, a rosé from Knipser, is a great rosé wine from the Palatinate. Made from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. It is produced using the Saignier method, i.e., by drawing off juice during the pressing of the red grapes.
Its color is pale, almost salmon, and the Knipser Clarette Rosé refreshes the palate and nose with strawberry and citrus fruits. On the palate, there is cassis and orange zest, with a slightly spicy finish. Beautifully light and not too dry. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The top seller from Knipser. Considered one of the best rosé wines in Germany.
The VINUM Wine Guide says: "Best drunk fresh and young, the rosé cuvée Clarette is fragrant, slightly floral, and incredibly refreshing."
