Organic Rosé dry from Rheinhessen, zesty and fruity

The Steitz Rosé dry 2024 is a fresh organic rosé wine from the Steitz winery in Steinbockenheim, Rheinhessen; a cuvée of Portugieser, Pinot Noir, and Saint Laurent. Zesty, fruity, light. Not a sweet summer rosé, but a lively companion with minerality.

Steitz Rosé dry 2024 is a zesty organic rosé wine from the Steitz winery in Rheinhessen, produced as a saignée from red grapes. With a slender 11 percent alcohol, it presents itself as youthfully fresh, fruit-forward, and cool. A rosé for every occasion that invites you to pour another glass without guilt. Let yourself be surprised by a rosé with character.

Raspberry, watermelon, and cool stone

With a youthfully fresh nose, the rosé shines brilliantly with red-fruit aromas of raspberry and lingonberry jelly, accompanied by juicy watermelon, white almond, and herbaceous lemon balm. Just the first scent from the glass puts you in a great mood.

On the palate, the fine fruit is flanked by notes of herbs and cool stone, while the delicate arc of acidity ensures an easy flow. Zesty, lively, and fruity—a rosé that doesn't overcomplicate things. It remains refreshing sip by sip. Simply pour and enjoy.

A rosé for grilling with friends

The Steitz Rosé works without any warm-up period, whether you're cooking with dear friends, grilling, or enjoying light summer cuisine. It doesn't impose itself, but simply joins in. Its lightness, in particular, makes it a convivial companion through the summer.

The rosé shows its freshest side when well-chilled at 8 to 10 degrees in the glass. According to Diana Steitz, this pairs well with an oxheart tomato salad or toasted bread with hummus, tomatoes, and basil. If you would like to try its light-colored counterpart made from red grapes, reach for the Blanc de Noir or browse through our German rosé wines.

Christian and Diana Steitz from Steinbockenheim

For this rosé, the winery selects red grapes from volcanic rock and loess soils in various vineyards across Rheinhessen. The juice is bled off from the skins early on, which explains the delicate color and fine fruit. The red fruit is present, without the wine becoming heavy.

After harvesting and slow fermentation, the wine matures for a long time on the lees in stainless steel tanks; the calmer the maturation, the clearer the fruit. Christian and Diana Steitz took over the winery from Christian’s parents in 2015; since the 2022 vintage, it has been organically certified and Fair'n Green.

Straightforward, unpretentious, and authentic—that is how the family describes their wines, and this applies to this rosé as well. The winery is a member of Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen. If you would like to try more, you can find other organic wines from the Steitz winery in our shop.

Eleven percent is guilt-free to top up

Eight to ten degrees and a white wine glass are all this rosé needs for preparation. A rosé for an aperitif, for grilling, or for a mild evening on the balcony. With its light 11 percent, you can feel free to pour another glass, and an opened bottle remains fresh for two days when well-chilled. You will quickly take this carefree rosé to heart, especially as the days grow longer.
