Portus Cale – Gold & Blue – Scented Candle by Castelbel

The Castelbel Gold & Blue scented candle from the Portus Cale series features the fragrance of jasmine and pink pepper. The intensely lovely scent of Gold & Blue is balanced in its intensity so that it does not feel overwhelming, but is perceived as very pleasant. The Gold & Blue scented candle is beautifully packaged in a small ceramic jar decorated with blue jasmine flowers, allowing it to be reused once the candle has finished burning.

The hand-poured candle burns for approximately 35 hours, though it should not be burned for more than 4 hours at a time. It is important to trim the wick to prevent the candle from smoking. Never leave the scented candle burning unattended, near flammable objects, or in a draft. Keep the candle out of the reach of children and pets.

The production of natural soaps has a 300-year-old tradition in Portugal – Castelbel's own story began in 1999, when Aquiles Barros, a respected professor of chemistry and former employee of the soap manufacturer Ach Brito, decided to establish something new and of his own.

Not far from the port city of Porto in northern Portugal lies the small village of Castêlo da Maia, which gave the company its headquarters and its name: Castelbel – beautiful castle. This is where wonderful natural soaps, hand creams, scented candles, and home fragrances are produced.
