Soap Gift Set by Castelbel – Craftsmanship from Portugal

The production of natural soaps has a 300-year-old tradition in Portugal – Castelbel's own history began in 1999, when Aquiles Barros, a respected professor of chemistry and former employee of the soap manufacturer Ach Brito, decided to establish something new and entirely his own.

Not far from the port city of Porto in northern Portugal lies the small village of Castêlo da Maia. It became the company's headquarters and gave the brand its name: Castelbel – beautiful castle.

Initially, Castelbel produced private label goods for a New York department store, and later for Galeries Lafayette in Paris. The name Castelbel remained behind the scenes. Since 2006, the Castelbel Ambiente series (Lavender, Rose, Verbena) has existed, and its success story has been unfolding ever since. A major contribution to this has been the wonderful room fragrances in beautiful glass diffusers, which are exported from Portugal all over the world. A year later, the exclusive Portus Cale series followed, which has found enthusiasts as far as Dubai, South Africa, and Japan thanks to its Portuguese product design and delights museum guests in the restrooms of the Louvre in Paris.
