David has Portuguese roots and wanted to bring quality craftsmanship from his home country to tables in other countries as well. Because sitting at a set table with family or friends is pure joy. With his beautiful plates and bowls, Casa Cubista brings a love for beautiful things into your everyday life.

Casa Cubista ceramic tableware is produced according to David's designs in a family-run factory in the Algarve. Even if not every piece is made on the potter's wheel, it is handled, cast, sanded, and individually glazed by Rui, whose family has mastered the pottery craft for over 200 years, and his aunt Regina, among others, using these great colors, which are incidentally food-safe and free of harmful chemicals. The dinner plate is washed by hand so that the glaze between the wide black stripes retains its luster. Each bowl is a unique piece. Small irregularities in the glaze are normal and intentional. Thus, every bowl, every plate, every pitcher always looks a little different. Even the stripes are not perfectly geometric but painted by eye. Casa Cubista ceramics are, after all, genuine handcrafted items.

There is room for the wide black stripes on these 26.5 centimeters, and a smaller plate in blue, green, or terracotta can be placed on top.
